Refunds & Cancellations
Donation Refund Policy
At Youthsrijan Foundation, we greatly value the trust and generosity of our donors. All donations made to the Foundation are used entirely for charitable, social, and educational programmes. As a general principle, donations are considered irrevocable contributions; however, we understand that errors can occur.
Refund Eligibility: A refund request for a donation may be considered in the following exceptional circumstances:
- Duplicate payment made due to a technical error.
- Incorrect amount charged due to a payment gateway malfunction.
- Unauthorised transaction reported and verified.
Refund requests must be raised within 7 (seven) days of the original transaction date. Requests submitted after this period will not ordinarily be considered, except in cases of documented fraud.
How to Request a Refund
To initiate a refund request, please follow the steps below:
- Email us at youthsrijan@gmail.com with the subject line: "Donation Refund Request ??? [Transaction ID]".
- Include in your email:
- Your full name and registered email/phone.
- Transaction ID or payment reference number.
- Date and amount of the transaction.
- Reason for the refund request.
- Screenshot or proof of payment (if available).
- Our team will acknowledge your request within 2 business days and complete verification within 7 business days.
Refund Processing
Once your refund request has been reviewed and approved:
- The refund will be processed back to the original payment method used for the transaction (credit/debit card, UPI, net banking, etc.).
- Processing time after approval: 5???10 business days, depending on your bank or payment provider.
- Transaction charges levied by the payment gateway (if any) may be deducted from the refund amount.
- You will receive a confirmation email once the refund has been initiated.
Youthsrijan Foundation reserves the right to decline refund requests that do not meet the eligibility criteria or that are submitted beyond the stipulated timeframe.
Membership and Event Fee Refunds
Membership Fees: Membership fees paid to Youthsrijan Foundation are non-refundable once the membership has been processed and the member ID / certificate has been issued. In case of a duplicate payment, a full refund of the duplicate charge will be issued.
Event Registration Fees: If an event is cancelled by the Foundation, a full refund of the registration fee will be processed automatically. If you cancel your own registration:
- Cancellation more than 7 days before the event: 100% refund.
- Cancellation 3???7 days before the event: 50% refund.
- Cancellation less than 3 days before the event: No refund.
80G Tax Receipts: In the event a donation is refunded, the corresponding tax exemption certificate (80G receipt) will be cancelled and deemed invalid. We will notify you accordingly.
